The Europäisches Bildungszentrum der Wohnungs- und Immobilienwirtschaft (EBZ) is a specialized training center based in Bochum, Germany, which includes a Berufskolleg (initial training), an Akademie (continuing education), and the EBZ Business School (tertiary education). EBZ offers career-oriented pathways to study real estate in Germany: dual apprenticeships (Immobilienkaufmann/-frau), short and continuing training preparing for IHK exams (Geprüfte/r Immobilienfachwirt/in), as well as university/applied programs in Real Estate at the EBZ Business School. The training combines theoretical teaching, practical modules, and close ties with companies in the real estate sector, facilitating professional integration. For an international student, EBZ offers opportunities to enter the German real estate sector through initial training (with an employer) or through retraining and qualification enhancement pathways (IHK certificates, professional titles, bachelor/master). The languages of instruction are predominantly German, with modules and programs in English in higher education (EBZ Business School).
Learn more about the institutionInitial programs (Ausbildung Immobilienkaufmann/-frau) are generally dual training: application to companies (apprenticeship contract) and enrollment at the Berufskolleg. For continuing education and IHK preparations (Immobilienfachwirt, Zertifikatslehrgänge), enrollment is done through the EBZ Akademie; for programs at the EBZ Business School (bachelor/master), refer to the admissions pages of the Business School. Prerequisites and language levels vary: most programs require German (recognized certificates); dates and procedures are published on the EBZ and EBZ Akademie pages. (See official source).
