Internship Horse Management / Riding Operation (internship) Herzberg, Elster

Job description

The Pferdesportverein zum Adlernest e.V. offers internships in equine boarding, breeding, training, and support for riding lessons in Herzberg (Elster). The intern will gain practical insight into horse management and care (feeding, hygiene, infrastructure), training and breaking, as well as pedagogy for working with children and adolescents during equestrian lessons and activities. A driver's license is preferred for certain logistical tasks. This internship is suitable for students wishing to gain hands-on experience in animal care, equine breeding, and educational supervision in a riding club. The hours can be flexible (morning, afternoon, evening) and may include weekend work depending on the club's needs.

Main responsibilities

• Participate in the care and daily management of the horses
• Assist in training work and breaking
• Support the organization and supervision of lessons for children and adolescents
• Help with tasks related to breeding and management of the center
