Job description

Junior position / first job at Apex.AI to contribute to the software and middleware platform for mobility systems, software vehicles, and critical applications (automotive, robotics, aerospace). Ideal for recent graduates (BSc/MSc) looking to work with modern C++, distributed systems, runtime, and development tools. The role includes the development and maintenance of core components (Apex.Grace, Apex.Ida), performance, reliability, and maintainability improvements, debugging system issues, creating automated tests, and working in CI. The position is based in the Munich office and offers a learning environment guided by experienced engineers, with progressive responsibilities on middleware technologies and embedded systems.

Main responsibilities

Contribute to the development of middleware components and the software platform
Improve code performance, reliability, and maintainability
Debug and resolve complex system issues
Develop automated tests and CI/CD workflows
Collaborate with product and application teams to deliver production code

Profile sought

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Solid foundation in modern C++ and knowledge of Linux systems
Familiarity with Python or scripting languages
Interest in distributed systems, middleware, or embedded systems
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
