Job description

CBC Cologne Business Center is looking for a working student in Data Analytics & BI (15–20 hours/week) in Köln-Deutz to support the preparation and annotation of datasets for machine learning models, participate in the maintenance and evolution of dashboards (Power BI, Apache Superset), perform ad-hoc analyses for business teams, and contribute to data quality verification and process documentation. The position offers guidance, compensation based on the assignment, and the opportunity to observe projects related to sales, marketing, and customer behavior. The role is aimed at students in computer science, business informatics, statistics, mathematics, or similar fields, with some experience in SQL/Python preferred, an interest in data analysis and BI tools, and availability for at least one to two semesters.

Main responsibilities

• Prepare and annotate datasets for ML models
• Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of dashboards (Power BI, Apache Superset)
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and queries for business teams
• Ensure data quality and document processes and tools

Profile sought

• Student in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar field
• Initial experience with SQL and/or programming language (ideally Python) preferred
• Interest in data analysis, BI tools, and machine learning
• Ability to learn independently, analytical rigor, and good communication skills in German
